Welcome to The Travelling Book Club ‘Big’ Book Clubs
The popular Travelling Book Clubs are a chance to meet up with friendly, like-minded people who share the same passion as you for reading and for people who want to create a reading habit to help you unwind and relax at the end of the day. My book clubs offer an opportunity to share book recommendations and the chance to meet new people in a cosy, calming and welcoming space in the heart of Burscough.
The Travelling Book Clubs are held at The Snug in Burscough, West Lancashire. We have exclusive access to this gorgeous, cosy and inviting venue where we can chat books, (plus anything else that takes our fancy), to our hearts content and not be disturbed! We have a ‘no shoes’ policy here at The Snug so bring your slippers or fluffy socks and get cosy.
When you sign up to a book club you will pay a monthly subscription fee of £17. Please note that this is an adult book clubs but on registration you will be asked to register a child. This is because the booking system was set up for Baby Book Clubs as well as the Adult Book Clubs. Simply re-enter your name for the child name and todays date for the birth date.
Prior to the first meeting you will attend, you will need to have signed up to the £17 subscription fee. (No payment will be taken until the 1st of the following month). Your monthly subscription includes;
- The next book that we will read and discuss. I will distribute this at the meet up.
- A sweet treat and a hot drink.
- Access to a private WhatsApp group should you wish to join.
- The use of a private and cosy venue, The Snug, where we can’t be disturbed and hopefully you can feel at home.
- The opportunity to come together to discuss the monthly book club choice in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- This also secures your space in the group.
You can book your place for the next months meet up below. Your subscription will come on the 1st of the following month. Once you have signed up simply contact me to find out which book we will be discussing in your first meet up.

Book Clubs
Book Clubs held at The Snug with spaces;
Day Time Adult Book Club - Third Tuesday of every month 10-11am (*Please note that this date may change if the third Tuesday falls on a half term school holiday).
Chapters and Chat group - This book club is held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7-8pm in Burscough.
Mums Book Club Vol.1 - This book club is held on the last Monday of every month (some dates do change due to Bank Holidays)

Subscription Information
When you subscribe to a ‘Big’ Book Club, and if you’re new to The Travelling Book Club booking system, you will be asked to sign up a child and add their age. This is because the booking system is also set up for my Baby Book Clubs. Simply retype your name and add the date on the day of signing up.
Subscriptions come out on the first of the month. When you sign up, a covering payment will be added to cover the joining fee.

Book Swap Event
What; The Travelling Book Club Book Swap Event – an opportunity for connection, community and meeting fellow book lovers. A small intimate group with bags of chance to chat, share book reviews and go home with some new books whilst clearing out some of your favourites that you’d love other people to read and enjoy as much as you did.
